Terrell Owens Cowboy
Terrell Owens Eagle to Terrel Owens Cowboy
In March 2006 it was announced to the sports world that the Dallas Cowboys had signed veteran wide receiver Terrell Owens to a three year, $25 million deal, with $5 million to be paid in the first year plus a $5 million signing bonus.
In becoming a Cowboy Terrell Owens was leaving a two-season stint with the Philadelphia Eagles which had been marred by injury and contract disagreements to join that team’s arch rivals in Dallas. As a new Cowboy Terrell Owens demonstrated his considerable talents on the field, but a finger injury and overblown media coverage followed him throughout his first season.
The Dallas Cowboy’s management obviously want what Owen has brought to their team, and announced in April of 2007 that they were picking up Owens $3 million option bonus for the coming 2007 season. Cowboy Terrell Owens, whom many have called one of the best wide receivers playing football today, is greatly admired for his strength, agility, and good hands.
T.O,, as he is called, is a stickler for training, staying in peak physical condition in season and off. His background as a talented basketball player and runner as well as a swimmer and baseball player add a special dimension to his skill as a wide receiver. At 33 he is in prime physical condition and is a disciplined player with drive and stamina.
It’s already pretty clear that as a Cowboy Terrell Owens can look forward to some more victory dances.
