Terrell Owens Dallas Cowboys

Terrell Owens, the Dallas Cowboys’ Multi-talented Wide Receiver

While he achieved his first starting position in football only in his senior year of high school, Terrell (T.O.) Owens excelled also in basketball, swimming and track, collecting multiple varsity letters in the four sports.

And although basketball was his first love, his size and superb physique destined him ultimately for football.  After high school Owens was recruited by the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga where he fulfilled his potential, and was named first-team All-Southern Conference in his senior season.

From UTC he was drafted in 1996 to the San Francisco 49ers where his talents were well invested and he spent a very productive 8 years.  A two-season stint followed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004-2005, and then in March of 2006 the Terrell Owens Dallas Cowboys contract was signed.

Known for his exuberant victory dances and sometimes too candid remarks off the field, T.O. has always guaranteed his loyal fans great football and an entertaining, sometimes exasperating, but never dull, run for their money.

His big smile and film star looks have garnered Owens plenty of attention off the gridiron too, and he’s a popular figure in promotion videos, rap music lyrics, and charity and fund raising efforts.  He is active in raising awareness and funds for Altzimers, cancer and other worthy causes.

For the Dallas Cowboys Terrell Owens is a great addition to a team with a new head coach and the drive for a winning season in 2007.
